Exemplars has had the privilege of working with schools and districts and resource centers around the country. Here are some of the outstanding groups with whom Exemplars has collaborated in the last few years. Co-nectWe are pleased to announce an agreement between Co-nect, a network of more than 200 schools in 30 states, working toward school improvement and higher student achievement. Co-nect improves teaching and learning by providing effective professional development, tools, strategies, and support to K-12 educators. Collaborating with schools and districts, Co-nect strives to ensure an exceptional education for all students. The focus is on community accountability for results, learning by doing, and the sensible use of technology, building a foundation for both short- and long- term school improvement. Co-nect was founded in 1992 in response to the call by the New American Schools Development Corporation to create "break the mold schools" that could be used to improve educational achievement for students nationwide. Co-nect schools will have access to the library of Exemplars standards-based performance tasks in Math, Science and Reading, Writing, Research in the Content Areas. They will be able to search for performance tasks by standard or by concepts and skills, find the tasks they want and download them to their computers.
California School Leadership AcademyCSLA is recognized statewide and nationally for expertise in the development, delivery, and impact of quality professional development for administrators and teacher leaders. CSLA's mission is to help practicing administrators and teachers in leadership positions strengthen their instructional leadership skills and focus their actions on the issues and strategies critical to increasing the achievement of all students in California.
CEEMaSTThe Center for Education and Equity in Mathematics, Science, and Technology is the vehicle through which the College of Science, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, serves the educational community. CEEMaST is a collaborative effort of the College of Science and the School of Education. The purposes of CEEMaST are:

Charles A. Dana CenterThe Charles A. Dana Center is dedicated to strengthening education and civic life in Texas. It is an organized research unit in the College of Natural Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin. The Dana Center serves as an incubator of innovative programs and practices designed to support local and state agencies, individual schools, and civic organizations as they work together to serve their Texas constituencies in ways that reflect their local beliefs and values. Toward this end, the Dana Center conducts applied research, develops resources, provides technical assistance, and convenes individuals and groups to work together to strengthen Texas education and community life. The Dana Center has a significant presence in more than 1,000 Texas schools and in a growing number of Texas communities.
The Council for Basic EducationThe Council for Basic Education (CBE), a national non-profit organization, advocates high academic standards for all students and exemplary teaching in every classroom in our nation's public schools. CBE was founded in 1956 by a group of concerned citizens who were convinced that there is a close relationship between a healthy democracy and excellence in public education and were dismayed at the academic deficiencies in the nation's elementary and secondary schools. Throughout its history, CBE has directed its programs and publications to strengthen teaching and learning of the liberal arts to prepare students for lifelong learning and responsible citizenship. CBE has earned a reputation as an impartial critic of education reform, and its Basic Education provides a monthly forum for analysis and comment.
The Education TrustThe Education Trust works for the high academic achievement of all students at all levels, kindergarten through college, and forever closing the achievement gaps that separate low-income students and students of color from other youth. Our basic tenet is this - All children will learn at high levels when they are taught to high levels.
The El Paso Collaborative for Academic ExcellenceThe El Paso Collaborative for Academic Excellence is a community-wide effort to improve the whole system of education, a systemic reform that results in improved academic achievement for all young people in El Paso. The organization brings together - in a unique configuration - the city's education, business and civic leaders to plan and effect the changes that will improve teaching and learning at all levels, from pre-kindergarten through university. The essence of the Collaborative is people working together: school superintendents, university and college presidents, business and community leaders, principals, teachers, and parents - an entire community recognizing and supporting high student achievement. The goals of the El Paso Collaborative are to ensure academic success among all youngsters in our schools, from their very first year in school through the university, and to ensure that all students graduate from area high schools prepared to enter and succeed in a four-year college or university.
Everyday MathEveryday Mathematics is a K-6 enriched mathematics curriculum, developed by the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project, that empowers students and teachers to understand mathematical content far beyond arithmetic.
First in the World ConsortiumFirst in the World is "a collaboration of 19 school district in Illinois to become first in the world in mathematics and science." Students in the First in the World districts participated in the Third International Mathematics and Science Study. Using powerful models of professional development and careful consideration of curriculum materials, First in the World has committed itself to achieving its goals.
The Hampshire Educational CollaborativeThe Hampshire Educational Collaborative, located in Northampton, Massachusetts, is a nonprofit, multi-service agency linking educators, schools, families, and communities to opportunities that advance learning for all students. Through its affiliation with PALMS (Partnerships Advancing Learning of Mathematics and Science), which was Massachusetts Strategic Systemic Initiative (SSI) funded by the National Science Foundation, The Collaborative offered professional development opportunities for math and science teachers, developed resources, and fostered partnerships between schools and communities.
The Maryland Assessment ConsortiumThe Maryland Assessment Consortium represents a unique collaboration of Maryland's twenty four school systems. Established in 1991, the Consortium was formed to address two primary goals:

Mid-continent Research for Education and LearningMcREL, located in Aurora, Colorado, is a private, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to improve education through applied research and development. McREL provides products and services, primarily for K-12 educators, to promote the best instructional practices in the classroom.
North Central Regional Educational LaboratoryThroughout the country, teachers, parents, principals, community members, policymakers, and students are working toward a common goal: improving our nation's schools to make them safe and productive places where children can learn and grow. Since 1984, the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory has been a partner and resource in this important endeavor. The North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (NCREL) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping schools - and the students they serve - reach their full potential. We specialize in the educational applications of technology.
WestEdWestEd is a nonprofit research, development, and service agency. The agency traces its history back to 1966 when Congress created a network of Regional Educational Laboratories. In 1995, two of those original laboratories (Far West Laboratory for Educational Research and Development and Southwest Regional Laboratory) joined forces to form WestEd. As one of the nation's Regional Educational Laboratories, WestEd serves Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah. Our work also extends throughout the rest of the United States, as well as internationally. WestEd is committed to improving learning at all stages of life - from infancy to adulthood, both in school and out.
