15th Anniversary: Ross Remembers

I can't believe that it has been 15 years. It seems like only yesterday that we published Volume 1 Number 1 of the Exemplars Mathematics Subscription. That first issue had less than a dozen subscribers and contained six mathematics tasks, two at K-2, two at 3-5 and two at 6-8. Today there are Exemplars users in 50 states and 27 countries.

From the Field: Norfolk Public Schools

Norfolk Public Schools in Virginia was the recipient of the 2005 Broad Foundation Award as the top urban school district in the country. The award, "honors large urban school districts that demonstrate the greatest overall performance and improvement in student achievement while reducing achievement gaps among poor and minority students."

Exemplars Incorporated in NCREST-ISA Partnership

We are pleased to announce that the National Center for Restructuring Education, Schools and Teaching (NCREST) at Teachers College, Columbia University is using Exemplars math material for assessment, instruction and professional development in its project with the Institute for Student Achievement (ISA).
