What is the difference between Exemplars subscriptions and Exemplars CDs?

Exemplars subscriptions are hard copy materials that are published annually. A complete volume includes approximately 60 assessment and instructional tasks for grades K-8. Exemplars CDs include a collection of our favorite tasks from previous volumes. All subscriptions and CDs include classroom-tested tasks, rubrics and annotated anchor papers. Back to top

If we are just getting started with Exemplars should we order a subscription or a CD?

Some teachers prefer using hard copy materials because they are easy to access, others prefer using our CDs because you can search by national standards and skills. We suggest purchasing what you are most comfortable using. Back to top

Does it matter which volume of Exemplars we order? How do we know which one to order?

If you are a first time subscriber we suggest you begin with one of our earlier volumes (Math Volume 9 or Science Volume 5) in order to receive a complete set of Exemplars at once. Each subscription is comprised of high-quality material and the same number of tasks at each grade level. Back to top

How long is our site license good for?

All of Exemplars subscriptions and CDs are licensed individually. Once you have purchased a license for a particular product, that license has no expiration date. Back to top

Do we have to renew our subscription each year and if so when?

If you would like to continue to receive new Exemplars materials, you need to renew your subscription annually. Materials may be ordered at any time during the year. Back to top
