This is an introductory workshop designed for educators who are becoming familiar with teaching writing to young children.

Participants will learn narrative techniques-including the effective use of dialogue, show-not-tell, character and plot development.

Components include:

  • Using rubrics and anchor papers to assess student work
  • Linking assessment results to curriculum, instruction and improving student performance
