K-8 Science

Background:

Tracy Lavallee has been a professional development consultant and task contributor for Exemplars K-8 Science Subscription for eight years. She holds a Master's Degree in Science Curriculum and Assessment from Saint Michael's College in Winooski, VT.

Tracy has more than 17 years experience in the classroom as an elementary teacher and as a teacher associate/curriculum and an evaluator/science trainer for the Vermont Institute of Science, Math and Technology.

In addition to working as a math and science consultant for the Chittenden East Supervisory Union, Tracy currently teaches third grade and is an adjunct professor for Saint Michael's College. She has made presentations at the National Science Teachers Association Convention, Champlain Valley Consortium and Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development conferences. Additionally, she has served as a facilitator at the Blueprints for Change conference and the Standards-Based Unit Development Workshop.
