Exemplars Differentiates Tasks to Meet the Needs of All StudentsEach Exemplars math performance task is now accompanied by a more accessible and a more challenging version of the problem, allowing teachers to better meet the needs of the diverse students in their classrooms. Different levels of the same task can be used with different level math classes, or more accessible versions of the tasks can be used as instructional pieces, and the original and more challenging versions as assessment pieces. We began differentiating our tasks with Math Volumes 9 and 10. The response was overwhelming and we have continued the differentiation with Math Volume 11 this year. We are now differentiating all the problems on the Best of Math CDs. To view a sample of a differentiated math task, please click here. |
