Background

Tracy Lavallee is a professional development consultant, science task contributor and editor for Exemplars K-8 science material. She holds a Master's Degree in Science Curriculum and Assessment from Saint Michael's College in Colchester, VT.

Tracy has more than 30 years of experience in the classroom as an elementary teacher and as a teacher associate/curriculum trainer and an evaluator/science trainer for the Vermont Institute of Science, Math and Technology.

Tracy currently teaches third and fourth grade at the Underhill ID School in Jericho, VT. She has made presentations at the National Science Teachers Association Convention, Champlain Valley Consortium and Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development conferences. Additionally, she has served as a facilitator at the Blueprints for Change conference and the Standards-Based Unit Development Workshop and has led numerous professional development workshops and courses.
