Best of Science Installation

For Macintosh Users

  1. Create a new folder named e.g. "Exemplars Science" on your desktop
  2. Insert the CD into your computer
  3. Double click on the CD icon
  4. Drag and drop the "The Best of Science Exemplars" into the new folder you created on your desktop
  5. Installation is complete
  6. Double click the "start_here" icon to begin

For Windows Users

  1. Create a new folder named e.g. "Exemplars Science" on your desktop
  2. Insert the CD into your computer
  3. Click on "My Computer"
  4. Double click on CD icon
  5. Drag and drop the "The Best of Science Exemplars" into the new folder you created on your desktop
  6. Installation is complete
  7. Open your folder
  8. Double click the "start_here" icon to begin

Additional Notes

Exemplars CD-ROMs do require Adobe Acrobat Reader®. A copy is provided in the "extras" folder on your CD, but you may also download the most current version free of charge from the Adobe web site.

For optimal performance, Exemplars recommends using the Firefox web browser. For additional instructions, see the "instructions" file on the CD. For tips on getting started, please refer to the "Science Toolkit."
