Common Core Support for Title I
Develop Common Core Math Skills & Improve Student Performance
Exemplars problem solving effectively integrates both the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice and Mathematical Content. Our math tasks may be used for instruction, assessment and/or professional development.
Material provides engaging supplements for use in Title I programs and the traditional classroom.
Exemplars K-8 Math CDs offer:
Exemplars open-ended material is designed to captivate students' interests and promote communication of their thinking and reasoning (leading to higher-order thinking).
Each math task is differentiated to include a more accessible and more challenging version, allowing Title I teachers to meet individual student's instructional needs.
Our standards-based math rubric supports CCSS for Mathematical Practice and NCTM Process Standards.
Use of the rubric allows Title I teachers to look more closely at what their students' work demonstrates about their mathematical understanding.
Material is aligned to Common Core, individual state, NCTM and STEM standards as well as various math texts.
Each task includes anchor papers that demonstrate student work at the four performance levels of the Exemplars rubric.
Anchor papers can assist teachers as they assess student performance. They may also be used to provide students with a concrete understanding of what work meets the standard and why.
Exemplars is a proven formative assessment tool that reflects student understanding, reasoning, achievement and growth to guide instruction and determine next steps for each individual learner.
